Los Angeles advice states that Lon Chaney, the film star, is believed to be dying from pernicious anaemia at Saint Vmc-ent’s Hospital there, following a throat operation in New York a fortnight ago. The surgeons, who declared the actor’s condition to be very serious, said he had failed to rally alter two blood transfusions.
