« — SILVER WED!)INC DAY. EX-CROWN PRINCE AND WIFE. The German ex-Crown Prince and wj fo celebrated their silver wedding—they were married iu Berlin on June <>, .1905 —with tin 1 ex-Kaiser and bis family at Doom a. few weeks ago. At 9.30 a.m. the ex-Kaiser's family and a number of visitors assembled in the chapel of the house, where Count Kolft, the Court chaplain, conducted the service and the ex-Kaiser congratulated his eldest ison. his wife, and family. At both luncheon and dinner the party was practically confined to the family. Besides the ex-Kaiser and his wife. Princess Hermine, those present included the ex-Crown Prince and Princess and five of their six children; Prince Eitel Friedrich —the ex-Ivaiser’s second son—and bis children ; Prince Adalbert—the third soli —Prince Oscar —the fifth son—-the Duke and Duchess of Madden burg, Ihe Duke and Duchess of Brunswick, and the Burgomasters of' Doom, Leersum, and Zei.st.
Luncheon was an informal meal, but at dinner the men, with the exception of one or two who for diplomatic reasos were better advised not to do so, were in military uniform.
At night a film of a* semi-pacifist character, with a few items relating to the Holienzollem family, were exhibited. after which the castle was illuminated and a display of fireworks given for the children.
