CYCLE ROAD RACE
HAWK HA CLUB SERIES. RIDIX Q UNDER DIFFICULTIES. Despite the inclement conditions imposed by a stiff southerly and heavy rain seven riders faced the starter yesterday afternoon for the fourth of the season’s series of cycle road races conducted under the auspices of the Havera Amateur Athletic Club for the Cambrian Rose Bowl. Five of the competitors completed the long journey of approximately 25 miles, the course being from Haver a to Manaia via Norman by and Okaiava and hack to Hawera via the Main South Road. K. Foy with a handicap of oi- minutes was first- home, and fastest time was registered by R. Kelsen, off If minutes, whose actual riding time was lhr Bmin lOsec. Placings, together with handicaps and actual riding times, were as follow : K. Foy (5-Jiniu), lhr 9min ‘4osec 1 K. Wollett (lOniin), llir Him in 27sec 2 It. Kelsen (limin'), lhr Smin lOsec 3 A.
