Notification of its approval of the nomination of D. Roebuck (flyweight), R. Furze (welterweight) and E. Griffin (middleweight) for the New Zealand champion ships to be held at Palmerston North on August 21, 22 and 23, was received from the Stratford Association. The secretary (Mr Veitch), together with Messrs Simon and Moore, were appointed as delegates to the meeting of Taranaki district associations to inquire into the question of sending the nominees to the championships. It was decided to l endeavour to arrange for representation at the Dominion Conference to be held at Palmerston North through the New Plymouth delegation. On the proposal of Mr AN”. S. Moore it was decided to forward a remit to the annual conference .suggesting that the secretary of the New Zealand Council issue to associations a monthly bulletin containing information possible concerning nrofessional boxers for the time resident in the Dominion, those open to engagements and addresses at which thev could lie cmnninuiea.ted with. A further remit annroved at a prior meeting of the committee suggested the institution of a junior lightweight class for amateurs with a weight not exceeding 9s t Gib.
