MANGAMINGI

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

LATE, ME. J. GRANVILLE,

The funeral of the late Mr. John Granville took place on Sunday and a very large number assembled to pay their last respects to one of the oldest settlers in Manga min gi, he having resided here about 40 years. The widow, one son (Maurice) and five daughters, Mrs. McAvady, Mrs. Babbage, Mrs. H. V. Gower, Mrs. Pat Forrester and Miss Ursula Granville, are left to mourn tlieir toss. The following were the pall-bearers: Messrs P. It. Brown, K. Mclntyre, H. Turner, A. Pennington, M. O’Conner, and E. Forrester. GENERAL. A warm rain fell on Monday, which was very much wanted to start the feed, which has been very much kept back by so much heavy frost. The sound of young calves and little lambs reminds us that spring is here once more.
