TAHITI’S FRUIT IN RAD / CONDITION. (By TeWg-rapYt—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. July 31. The fruit which arrived by the Tahiti two davs late from Rarotonga and Papeete was overheated to the condition known in trade circles as “boded and was marketed in a deplorable condition. Some of the bananas were absolutely unsaleable. while others were sold at sixpence to one shilling a ease. The oranges, in re-paekmg, will probahlv lose 50 per cent, The tomatoes are in the same "blight and are sell ino- at four to eight shillings a case There"'is, of course, some cargo in good condition. ... ... .....
