OTAKEUO WIN LADIES’ FINAL. In i lie final of the ladies’ .Wednesday hookey competition at Hawera yesterday. Otakelio beat Opunake by lour goals to one after a fast and occasionally brilliant game. Otakelio showed a better general combination, but Opunake did not field its usual team. J. Campbell opened Otnkeho’s tally, netting, from a scramble in the circle. E. llohaia equalised for Opunake. Forward rushes by Otakcbo were well defended by O. Andrew, Opunake’s goalkeeper, but Otakelio maintained the pressure and L. Putt scored following a corner. A good solo run saw L. Putt in a handy position and he made no mistake. T. Bennett gained Otnkeho’s fourth score from well out. Alessrs C. J. AlcFndyen and G. Mo 1 o nev re f orcec 1.
