Party government was strongly criticised at a meeting of tlie Chamber of Commerce to-day and it was. resolved that a continuation of the party system .was inimical to the best interests of the Dominion, and that the Reform and United Parties should coalesce and collaborate in view of the present economic situation. . ■ One 'prominent member declared that amalgamation of the parties at this' stage would be easy. Too much time was being spent in mere vote catching. ,
