DOCTORS’ R ESIGNATIONS. REQUEST TO BOARD. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TAIHAPE, July 29. Recently three resident doctors of Taihape- resigned their connection with the Taihape Hospital following a refusal of the Wanganui Hospital! Board to* withdraw certain allegedly insulting remarks. The. board thereupon appointed another resident medical! officer. Subsequently the Chamber of Commerce adopted the following resolution : “That this chamber is of opinion that the present policy of the Wanganui Hospital Board regarding the Taihape hospital is inimical to, the best interests of the institution town and district: will increase the cost o.f maintenance, and be less effective than the former policy. Moreover, that it is inflicting a grave injustice on the resident doctor's, who have the confidence and esteem of the whole community. The chamber requests the Ward! to /review the whole position at an early date.”
