after twenty-four, years. A romance which might well furnish the scenario of a. popular film has just culminated in a Paris wedding. Ino bridegroom, who. passed his fiftieth birthdav some years ago. lias married his ideal bride. She was not, however. the bride whom he originally sought. Twenty-four years ago lie iell desperately iu love with a pretty bi unetto and asked her hand in marriage. Rut lie had a rival, and the object of his affections finally informed him that the rival hda won. He hid his disappointment in his own heart and did not/ .seek to find coil sol «iti oil in «inotlici romance until recently, alien, on a visit to Cannes, lie made the acquaintance of a girl who is just 24 years old. 'Rhe girl reminded the man so strongly" of his first love that he paid assiduous court to her, and finally won her consent to marry him. In looking on his bride he thought lie had hound the romance of liis youth, tor she had the eyes, the air and the features of the woman of whom he had dreamed for so long. It was only on the eve of the wedding that lie learned the reason. His bride was the daughter of the woman he had originally asked to marry him.
