ENGINEER COLLAPSES
DIE'S WHILE ON DUTY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, July 28. John William MacLeod, aged 47. married, who resided at Waikari, died suddenly at an early hour this morning. Deceased, who was an engineer employed at the corporation electric power-house at Half-way Bush, went on duty at midnight and at 12.20 telephoned the superintendent.. When the latter arrived he found deceased lying on the floor suffering from severe pains in the chest. He died a little later.
