HOTEL GUEST LOSES £34
THEFT AT HAWERA. AIONEY REMOVED FROAI TROUSERS. A guest in a private hotel at Hawera is stated to have- been relieved of £34- last evening, when his trousers, containing the money, were removed from under the mattress of his bed. His loss was discovered in the early hours of the morning and the police were immediatelv notified. It was then discovered that two casuals who bad booked in at the hotel together bad disappeared.
