(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOOTBALL. On Wednesday,‘ at Opunake, Pihaina thirds were defeated by Opunake by 17 points (five tries, one converted) to 5 points (one converted try). For Opunake, Barradough scored three tries, Donnelly and Hawkins one each, one try being converted by Barraclougli. For Pihama, Ardern scored a try which was converted by Richards. Air. R. Bowman was the referee. i Playing at Pihama on Saturday, j Auroa school was defeated by Pihama ' school by 28 points to nil in the seven- 1 a-sidc competition. Air. A. Clarke refereed. 1 HOCKEY. After a very interesting and exciting game played at King Edward Park. Hawera, on Saturday, Rovers defeated Pihama by 3 goals to 2. For Rovers Alisses B. Stevens, I. Prime and B. J Stevens scored goals, and for Pihama t Alisses A. Taylor and S. Forsyth! scored. Air. V. Warren was the referee.
