MONKEY MOTOR RACES
POPULAR WINTER. SHOW FEATURE. Certainly one of the most novel features at the Winter Show is Madame Kamos’ monkey motor races. The attraction consists of real monkey .racing in reail miniature, motor ears on an enormous speedway motor track ®p©eiadv constructed in a large, red and white striped marquee. Apart from the thrills of the racing, the comedy between tire monkeys during the. races is hilarious as each performer is a trier, and they stop at nothing to prevent their .fellow-monkeysi from Avinning. One monkey gives, an imitation of a man driving a car while under the influence of liquor; then another demonstrates a man driving) a car to his unpopular mother-in-law’s funeral, ah helping to provide good entertainment ancl amusement. This attraction was specially imported for the last Wellington winter exhibition and was witnessed by 15,000 persons there. Madame Ka runs has personally trained these animals, and conducts the enterprise herself. An extra; feature, j® provided in Prince, the tiny marmoset, Av.hirh Madame claims to be the smallest, fullgrown monkey in the world. This attraction should prove popular with all show visitors.
