HAWERA SITTING. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given by Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., in the Hawera Court yesterday in the following undefended actions: E. M. Bardsley v. F. iGiatley, £6 17s 6d (costs £1 10s 6d) ■ A. F. Anderson v, R. Tremain, 6s (13s); Garter and Co. v. R. Hore, £4 7s 6d (£1 3s 6d); E. H. Piper v. H. Dow die, £2 2s 6d. (£ 3s 6d); J. Barclay v. F. Dodd, £l7 13s 2d (£2 14s); Lightband and Wann, Ltd,, v. J. R. Wright, £2 3s (8s); Hawera Hospital Board v. Edward Stevens, £l7 17s (£2 6s). In judgment summons proceedings D. Wkanau was ordered to pay Morrissey and Co. £ls 2s 6d forthwith, in default imprisonment for 14 days. A. Cooper was ordered to pay H. R.. Kemp £3 15s forthwith, in default imprisonment for four days. C. Hardway was ordered to pay G. S. Scott £2 3.2 s 7d forthwith, in default imprisonment for three days, the warrant to be suspended so long as debtor pays 10s per wek. Nokau was ordered to pay A. H. Foy £4O 6s lOd within 30 days, in default imprisonment for 38 days. G. Wood was ordered to paj I)Strachan and Co. £9 10s 6d forthwith, in default imprisonment for nine days. For disobedience of a maintenance order, the arrears being £ls 15s to June 6, Richard Sower by was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. The magistrate directed that the warrant be suspended as long as defendant pays 25s per week. For not displaying two headlights on a motor vehicle at night Ray John Howe was fined £l, costs. 10s. Three charges were laid by the borough inspector arising out of chimney fires clue to insufficiently cleaned chimneys. Arthur Bearo and W. J. Cor km were fined 10s, with costs 10s. Josephine A. Dvmond was ordered to |ay costs only, 2s.
