ALTON MAN VISITS CANADA. Mr J'. Proffitt, of Alton, lias gone to Canada and entered the dairy industry there. Concerning tnm the ‘Ontaria Intelligencer’’ says: “Anxious to learn how cheese-making and dairying Eur-e* curried oil in t>liis country. J - Proffitt, of New Zealand, came to Canada n short time ago and asked it lie could be 'piiaaed in a cheese factory this spring and summer. The Department of .Agriculture: chose the finest cheese-making section in Canada, and sent him to J. L-. Irwin, local dairy grader, who has succeeded in placing him in Rogers’ factory at Frankford. “Mr Profftt arrived in Bellville this morning and almost immediately left for Frank ford, where ihe wild commence his duties. Mr Profftt is 23 years of age. having served six years m the trade in his own eountiy. He will remain in Canada about a year and will then take liis practical experiences hack to New Zealand to apply them there. ’
