The JVlaekay radio station intercepted a message 'from the Graf Zeppelin stating that the dirigible had crossed the Equator at 8 p.m., New York standard time, at a point 40 degrees west and 150 miles north of the nearest Brazilian coastal point, Acarahu. The position indicates that the Graf Zeppelin is taking a direct course to the West Indies.
