Squadron-Leader Ivingsford Smith states that the Southern Cross resembles a. new pin. Her overhaul lias added seven miles an hour to her speed, and she may be ready-for ber Atlanticflight in three weeks. Her second pilot will be Van Dyk, a, Dutchman, and the wireless operator will be John Stavage who accompanied the Canberra when she found the Southern. Cross lost in the Kimberlhys.
