NEW POWER BOARD
SECRETARY APPOINTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DARGAVILLE, May 14. Mr. George Rhodes, assistant -secretary of the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board, was appointed secretary to the newly constituted Hobson Ejectric Power Board at u meeting of it to-day. There were 109 applicants-. Mr. J. A. (McLean, who has been chairman of the old b-oarcl for the past, six years, was elected chairman of the new board unopposed. A loan, proposal, involving the spending of £300,000, will be placed before the ratepayers if the approval <_>f the Local Government Loaps. Board is obtained.
