(United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 11.30 am. to-day. SYDNEY, May 10. By 45 votes to 44, the second read-ino-'of the Forty-four. Hour Week Repeal Bill was carried in the Assembly. Messrs Sanders and Tressider (Nationalists) voted with the Opposition The Treasurer (Air Stevens), speakino- in defence of the measure, said that in breaking away from its election policy the Government did .so because a ' national emergency bad arisen.
