A new half year, being the fourth since this journal was first issued, will commence on October 1. From that time forth “The Star” will appear as a tri-weekly evening paper, and will be published on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.—.“Hawera and Normanby Star,” September 28, 1881. ***** Once more we have to chronicle the fact that the Town Board meeting, which was to have been held last night, lapsed for want of a quorum. We would advise the ratepayers to appoint a town crier, whose duty it would be to wake up our city fathers on meeting nights. —“Hawera and Normanby Star,” January 12, 1881.
