BROADCAST OP KING’S SPEECH

The Kind’s Specdt at the opening of Mio inf:ernnitional conference on naval disarmament in the Royal Gallery of the House of Lords on January 21, which will be broadcast by wireless from nil stations to British, listeners, will also be heard in many other parts of the world. Tho experimental snortwave transmitter, SSW, will be used primarily for reception throughout the Empire. Through the Intern'idonal B-rc ad casting Union at Geneva the British Broadcasting Corporation has offered facilities for relaying the proceedings by line from Savoy Hill or telephone by a wireless link from Daventry, SXX, to broadcasting organisation's throughout Europe. In spite of tl e inconvenient hour for American longitudes the National Broadcasting Company of the United States is arranging to relay the speech througu its chain of stations.
