One of the most interesting new books at tlie liaweni Public library is Major Segrave’s book “The Lure ox Speed,”.in which this well-known racing motorist tells the full story of his professional life. He has a direct, incisive style, with flashes of humour, and as lie has raced on practically every important motor track in Europe and America his book is most interesting. /Another new book is “Twentynve Years of Plying,” by Harry Harper, air correspondent of the “Daily Mail.” Mr. Harper is well known as a writer on aeronautics, and, in fact, this has been his sole study and topic for 25 vear.s.
