An unusual accident -caused the admission to- hospital yesterday with a -compound fracture of the nose of Harold Crawford, aged 23, an employee at a service station. He was removing a tyre from -a -car ■wheel when ’the tube burst, blowing the rim -a-gain-st liis face. MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. DUNEDIN, Sept. 6. While riding a- motor-cycle- along Wilkie Road yesterday evening, Edwin Arthur Gar chow was struck by a motor car, -receiving head- injuries and a fracture of both legs. In the sequel. David Craig Alillar Andrew.s pleaded not guilty in the Police Court to being intoxicated while in charge of a car was remanded, on bail to October 18. Garchow’s condition is fairlv serious.
