EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE,. (From O'Ur Own Correspondent). The filial euchre party and dance organised by tiie Horticultural Society took place on Wednesday night and proved a great success, ninety-four players taking part. Tiie ladies’ prize was won by Airs Ai. Lynaky, with 12 games. Three ladies tied for second place. these being' Airs Green banks. Miss S. Tippett and Airs Headley. Airs Gresnbanks wap tiie winner in the playoff. Nine ladies had to compete for the lucky number prize, Mrs Grigg being tiie winner. The men’s first prize wag von by .Ur G. Grantham, with 12 games, five players being even foi second •place with 11 games each. Mr R. Tippett won in the play-off. The. men’s lucky number prize was won b% Air G. Bishop. At the conclusion of the function the president. Air A. E. Spratt.. thanked all those who had assisted to make it such a success. Thanks were due to all who had donated prizes, and to' the i ladies who had provided the supper. The hall was then cleared for dancing, which was indulged in until the on vh \ hours, the music being supplied bv Miss T. Arden.

BIRTHDAY PARTY. 'flic friends of Ali.ss Sylvia Tippett tendered her an evening in tiie Nor rnaubv Town Hail on Tuesday night in honour of her birthday. A large’(gathering assembled, many being present from as far as Stratford, Elthani and \Voverlay. The evening was interspersed with games and dancing, and a. very pleasant time was spent. Simper was then serve d. Aliss T ipp-ett was the recipient of many presents as mementoes) of the occasion. Air Hughes, on behalf of Ali.ss Tippett, thanked those present for the kind wishes expressed ancl tiie gifts. Dancing continued until the early hours.
