SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL. H The. Park Bowling Club hold a. successful euchre and social ovcnwHj in the Carlton Tea Rooms last.evei^B ■B Over 90 participated in the tournament, which took up er part of the programme and in close games, no. less than three being recorded for both lady’s gentleman’s prizes. After- playing with Airs Barnett and Miss - Mrs Chadwick proved the winner the lady’s first prize, with Miss MarsJH second." H In making the presentations th<H president referred to the keen cqmflj petition amongst elub members the season, and stressed the consistent play and keenness displayed by - tn<M various winners. He hoped thatcoming .season would -see even. lieeneaßj enthusiasm in club matches,- and an oi.ien invitation to the ladies pres* out to visit the green, where all woulc* he welcome. He also wished to the ladies, on behalf of club members* for the manner in which they had as® s isteel at the green with afternoon tea® and hoped to have similar assistance in the future. He also l thanked the* artists for their great assistance dur® ing the evening. M A short musical orogramme was pre® sented by Airs Drynan, Aliss Butler* and Mr H. Briggs, each to reauests for encores. Aliss_ Butler® played the accompaniments in her* usual able manner.
