Heavy south-west gale; and rain made the conditions' of pin) very difficult and the course was very heavy. Some of the greens were partly under water. A. G. Siimo, ox-champion of New Zen •land and present West Coast- champion in the qualifying round topped the fielc with cards of 75 and 77, the next best being T. Park Sti and 84, and A. Olios noy 87 and 84. Par for the links is 84 Mrs Klee, the present West Coast ladies champion, returned a. card of 94 anc "Mrs A. A. Wilson, one of 96. A. G. Sime scored a. win for the best aggregate for the qualifying rounds He won the morning medal off sclratel and tied with three others for the after noon medal. His was a great perform unco.
