the NOVEMBER FIXTURE. Attention is draw n to the 44th annual Metropolitan Spring Show of the Manaw:i.t'U and West Coast A. and P. Association, to be held ait Palmerston North on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 6th, 7th and Bth November next. For many years now the spring show of the Manawatu and West Coast- A. and P. Association has been recognised by breeders and farmers as the premier stock show of the Dominion, and each year the opinion is enhanced not only ,'by the number of entries received, but also .by the increased patronage of the public, and by virtue of the fact that the association is doing as much as possible to further the interests of the farmer and breeder. Quite a number of laws for the protection of the farmer f m d their way on to the statute book through the medium of the association, and public support, gives a great deal more power to that body. The schedule for this year has been completely revised from cover to cover and interested persons will, recognise that any improvements which could have been made have been attended to. A new feature of the programme this vear will be a steer riding competition, anil this feature should attract a great deal of attention.
