WESTFIELD STOCK MARKET. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND', Sept. 4. At the Westfield market to-day beef was penned in average numbers. Medium. and lightweight prime cattle sold at late rates. Extra- heavy and heavy prime cattle were inclined to bo easier. Cow and heifer beef sold at late rates. Extra choice ox sold to £'2 4s per 100 lb., choice and prime £2 Is to £2 3s, ordinary and plain £1 8s to £2, prime young cow and heifer beef £2 to £2 2s, ordinary cow beef £1 17s to £1 19s, extra heavy prime sheers £lB 1.5 sto £l9 15s, heavy prime £ls to £lB 12s Ld. ‘lighter prime £ls to £lO 17s (3d, unfinished and. small £S to £l2 10s, extra heavy prime young cows and heifers £l3 to £l3 17s- Oct, heavy prime £ll 10s to £l2 15s, lighter £9 2s Cd to OH. light cows £7 17s (3d to £9. other i-uiVs £6 to £7 15s.

Sheep were yarded in more than average numbers. There was a steady demand for prime sheep, which, .sold at late rates. Unfinished sheep were inclined to be easier. Heavy prime wethers sold at £1 1.9,s to £2 2s 6d, medium prime £1 16s to £1 18s 9d. light prime £1 14s 6d to £1 15s 9d. small and unfinished £1 12s to £1 14s. heavy prime ewes £1 14s to £1 17s, medium prime £l. 11 s to £1 1.3 s 9d, light prime • | 7s to £l. 10s Del, prime hoggets £1 7s to £1 15s.

A few spring lambs were penned and f.iiev were easier in. values and sold at £ 1 ‘ I.os to £1 14s, _ ( There was, a large yarding of pigs. Values were easier on last week’s quotations. Choppers sold at £2 to* £4, heavy and medium bar-oners £3 19s to £4 14s, light- baeono-rs and heavy porkers and light porkers £2 12s to £3, small and unfinished porkers £1 17s to £2 10s.
