OPUNAKE TOWN BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING. The Opunake Town Board met on Monday night, those present being Crs. Raynor (acting chairman), 11. Breaker, F. Hammond, 11. Alantey and W. J. S. Dudley. The Defence Department advised that an. Order in • Council was being made vesting Section 9 (the site on which the Town Hall stands) in the 'Town Board, in trust lor municipal purposes, subject to certain conditions. It was decided tc> arrange lor six rubbish receptacles to place in Alain Street.
The 'foreman. (Mr ,1. DeCastra) reported on the work done during the month. 'The pound-keeper (Mr H. Wiltshire) reported; that 22 head of oattlo had been impounded during the month and 9 released on the roads. The Alain Highways Board advised that authority had been passed for £42 5s for repair work to be done. Afcetings of the Domain and Cemetery Boards were held .subsequent to the above meeting.
