The financial commission’s report for submission to the plenary conference has been agreed to. The balance of the uneond'iitonal annuities should thus be distributed: Britain £2,750,000, Japan .c 330,000, Jugo-.Slayin £300,000; Portugal £120,000. France will settle from hot annuities Rumania's, Greece’s and Czechoslovakia’s claims. Britain surrenders £2.50:000 in annuities to meet Japan’s and Portuguese claims. All the delegates accept the Young plan in principle. The agreements regarding deliveries in kind and the cost of the Rhineland occupation after .September were adopted.

War Office announces that orders have been issued for the withdrawal of British troops from the Rhine, to commence on September 14. The evacuation mil] be spread over a- period of approximately three months, and the movement of the personnel will be carried out- by the existing line of communication via Ostend to Dover.
