WHAT THE MOVIE STAR'S ARE WEARING.
SEQUINED EVENING GOWN
The glitter of crystal against the dignity of 'black created a new note in an evening grnvn worn by Fay Wray, the featured player, |vvho has her first talking part in “Thunderbolt” an alldialogue production starring George Bancroft.
The gown is fashioned of soft black chiffon, which is heavily encrusted with crystal beads in a 'leaf design. The full skirt is rpeaked to the ankles, and the hemline is cleverly outlined with the beads.
BRASS NAIL HEAD'S. Quite one of the most, novel of trimmings has been adopted by the exotic Russian player, ißaclanova, who played a remarkable part in the all-talking picture “The Man I Love,” recently released in New Zealand. Miss Baclanova’s sports suit is of white erepe-de-ehine, and the blouse and jacket are heavily embossed with rows of brass nail heads in a vandylke design, whilst the box-pleated skirt employed .'but one row of the trimming between each pleat.
FUTURISTIC TEA GOWN. A modernistic tea golvvn is worn by Ruth Ohatterton in the all-talkie, * ‘lOharming Sinners.” Triangles <oif 'black fora interesting lines on a background of white at the shoulders, and they shade into opalescent gray as the triangles cascade into a chic, train at the back. The gown is made in the loose wrapover style and is fastened at the waistline with a brilliant buckle.
