sider the formation of a Quiterbur, branch of the Division. A preliminary meeting was held about a month ago, and at yesterday’s meeting much interest was shown in the matter. The chairman, in opening the meeting, said that he took it that they were all in favour of forming a Canterbury branch. Ultimately a meeting of women had been held in Darfield and a branch formed. .It was decided to set up a provisional executive, .and Mrs. J. D. Hall was elected president. Arrangements were discussed for holding meetings in the different country uistricts m order to form branches. "When tlie.se have been formed they will elect delegates to the executive.
