I For the winners Tweedale, Packer ' (half), and Arnott scored tries, none of which was converted. Manawatu played a much improved game compared with previous displays, but Wairarapa also went well. Scorers for Wanganui were Takarangi (2), Bullock and Welsh, Gurney converting one. Wanganui’s victory was received with wild enthusiasm by a large crowd of schoolboy barrackers.
