LONDON, Aug. 28.
On the occasion of the first anniversary of the signature of the Kellogg Pact, the Rt. Hon. Arthur A. Henderson. British Foreign 'Secretary, sent a message to the United States Secretary of State, Mr Stimson, in which he says: “1 believe future generations will recognise this day as marking the beginning of a new epoch in the history of civilised mankind. ” Dr. iStresemann from The Hague sent a similar message to the American Press, with the suggestion that it might be a suitable occasion to take an international holiday. M. Briand (France) is understood to agree with the idea, which would provide a day whereon, unlike Armistice Day, all nations could celebrate in the same spirit.
