ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A FATAL EXPLOSION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, August 28. Michael Culloty, .a contractor, lost his life in a distressing fatality this morning, through an explosion of material used in road making. He was sitting on his bed in a tent- while explosives were being treated in a pan on the fire. A loud explosion occurred. Culloty staggered from the tent and when liis workmates rushed to him he cried, “I’m done,” expiring before medical assistance, could reach him. He leaves a widow and four children.
