An earth tremor lasting five minutes was felt at Broome on Saturday. Houses shook and windoAvs rattled, hut no damage is reported. The seismograph at Perth recorded a fairly severe earthquake, Avhich probably occurred m the ocean bed off the north-Avest coast about seven hundred miles from Perth.
