SUCCESSFUL SCHOOL DANCE

The Pihaima School fancy dress ball, held! on Friday night, was in every way a success. Dulling the evening a. presentation was made to. Miss. Irene Neilson by Miss Gwen Holmes, on behalf of the children, las an appreciation of her services at file children's danoes. The supper arrangements were in the capable hands of Mesdames Allan, Butler, Faulkner. Jolley, Julian, Richards, Riiley and Sheat.

The judges. Misses Polilett-i and Henderson, had a very hard task in a warding the prizes, as all the dresses were excellent. The award's were finally made, a s follows :

Juniors.—First prize. ‘‘Flit” (Reggie Utley); second prize, “Witoh” (Alice Williams') ; special, “Bathroom” (Maureen Conaglen). Seniors.—First prize, “Chinaman” (Don Forsyth) ; second prize, “Cigarette” (Agnes Forsyth) ; special, “Bowser” (Margaret Allan).
