The engineer (Mr J. A. Hansen) reported that 200 yards of boulders were crushed and spread; along the' Mangawhe.ro Road, and that this had been rolled in and blinded. Some tar-patch-ing had keen done along this road, and the water channels had heen attended to. \The mound over the railway crossing on Sheet Road had been removed and the spare earth used to bade Tip the metal in plaices along the road. A considerable amount of work had been don© near Ivnpinii on Sheet and Manaia Roads. The top end of the Upper Auroa Road had broken up badly last month, but this had been patched and was now in fair order, although it would have to be re-surfaced before next winter.
