FARMERS’ BALL.
FUNCTION - AT ALAN GATOKI. The ball at Mangatoki was well filled last night on the occasion of the annual ball of tlie local branch of the New Zealand Fanners’ Union. Visitors from many neighbouring (branches were present, and the ball was very successful. At the conclusion. the president (M r \V. li. Carter) thanked all those present for their attendance and said the committee was very pleased with the success achieved. Mr J. P. Marx (honorary secretary) had all arrangements well made, while Mr J. Townsend made an efficient M.O. and Sait’s orchestra provided good music. Mr Carter announced that the proceeds would be for the Women’s division of the union and! said that a donation of 10s bad been received from Messrs.Walkloy and Oamorom Mr 15. H. Parker then presented the prizes of the series of euchre parties held for the (Same object, the winners being Mrs Cooper (48 points) and Mr A. .Sollicker (51 points). He thanked all for the assistance received.
