A CHILD KILLED. (By Telegraph -Press Association.) NELSON, Aug. 13. Graham Haase, aged five years, a son of Mr W. H. Haa.se, Takaka, was killed instantaneously white attempting to cross Commercial Street-, Takaka, today. FOUND DEAD. TIMARU, Aug. 13. A married man named Jotm Emerson, aged 38, a billiard marker, was found dead at his- home at Leonard Street, Wnimate, this evening. DIED FROM INJURIES. WELLINGTON, Aug. 14. Sines, who was injured in a motor accident at Karori on Saturday, died in the hospital after being operated on without effect. A passenger, Mrs. Robertson. is still in a serious condition. A PAINTER’S DEATH. DARGAVILLE, Aug. 14. Cyril E Salmon, a painter by- trade, aged 38, a single- man, of Donnelly’s Crossing, had breakfast yesterday with a brother, a recent arrival from Australia. He went to work in a shed nearby, and later returned to tell his brother that he had taken -spirits' of salts by mistake. He was placed in a car and rushed to Te Kopu.ru Hospital, 35 mites away, but expired on the wav.
