INDUSTRY' AND SPORT. SHOWING IN LONDON. LONDON, Juno 28. Ar tin 1 invitation of the High Commissioner n considerable number of New Zealand visitors attended a showing of Now Zealand publicity film at the Strand cinema. .Seven films m all wore shown, but the item of particular interest on this occasion was the New Zealand meat film, which has recently been prepared under the direction of Mr R. E. Forsyth, manager of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Hoard. To see this film there were also present nearly 20 of the leading meat purveyors of London. The showing was particularly successful. Other films included in the programme were: ‘ 'Solid Sunshine” (New Zealand butter industry film), ‘ ‘ Sword Fishing, ” “An Angler’s Paradise, ’’ “Auckland'City,” “The Scenic Wonders of New Zealand,’and ‘‘Magic Playgrounds ’ ’ (Rotorua). It was explained to the audience that these films were samples of many which were being circulated under the High Commissioner’s direction throughout tlto cinema theatres of Great (Britain, when' a considerable number of them are shown each day.

The Deep Sea Anglers’ Club, which has its rooms in Fetter Lane and has has a largo membership of enthusiasts who tish in all parts of the world, devoted an evening to a New Zealand night, which was organised .by the High Commissioner’s publicity officer. Five films .were shown depicting sword fishing, front fishing in various parts of New Zealand, and also whale fishing at Cape Brett. After the showing of the films, Mr McDougall, a New Zealand fisherman, was called upon to answer many questions regarding fishing in New Zealand. —“Auckland Herald ” correspondent.
