DYING OF STARVATION.
HUNDREDS OF CASES MET. RELIEF WORKER’S STATEMENT. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Preee Association..) Received 10.35 a.m. to-day. SYDNEY, July 25. At a deputation Yvhich Yvaited on the acting-Premier, the Hon. E. AButtensliaYV, for relief work to absorb the unemployed, D. McDonald, superintendent of the Pyrmont soup kitchen, said: “I have met hundreds of cases where the men have been dying -of starvation. I have seen some collapse while waiting their turn for food.”
Mr Buttenshaw promised to consult Cabinet.
