MID-WEEK RUGBY.
ELGAR CUP GAMES. At a meeting of the Hawera District Wednesday Rugby Competition Committee, held last- evening, the first round games of the Elgar Cup competition to be played next Wednesday on the Hawera showgrounds were drawn as follow: Ohangai v. Fraser Road, at 1.15. City v. Whareroa, at- 2.45. The winners of the respective games will meet in the final on the following Wednesday. R EPR ESENTATIVE MATCH. The- following players have been selected to represent the Wednesday southern division against the Wednesday central division in a. match to be played at Hawera early next month: Backs, J. Lee, G. Murphy, R. 'Watson, M. Joyce, S. Savage, A. Oairncross, 1L Morrissey. J. Hinga ; forwards, H. Haigh, A. Macbeth, L. Bryant, A. Forbes, T. Cannon, W. Bitter, D. Wards, R. Findlay, M. Clark, R. Ingram. If arrangements can be made the team will probably travel later to Waveiiey and Wanganui.
