LONDON, July 17. “It is now almost definite that wo will fly the Atlantic,” Squadron-Leader Kings ford Smith told a, ‘'Herald” "correspondent. c “We will not attemut a spectacular flight, but will fly over Africa until we find a convenient spot from which to take off. We may even go as far as South Africa, and thence fiv to South America. The arrangements will be finalised after the plane has been reconditioned.”
