FOUR MEN SHOT
ONE NOT EXPECTED TO LIVE. GANG WARFARE ALLEGED. A SYDNEY AFFRAY. (United Press Association —By .Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) Received 10.35 a.m. to-day. SYDNEY, July 18. The shooting of four men, early this morning, at Maroubru, iis, the police believe, a continuation of gang warfare by members of the underworld. George Gaffney was shot right through Hie body and is not expected to live. Two others were treated in hospital, but refused to, give an account of the affray. The (police state that four or five men attacked a, Louise, but one of the defenders used an airmy service rifle with deadly effect. A man named Devine has been arrested.
