OPUNAKE.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) GOLF CLUB. The official opening of the Opunake Golf links took place in ideal weather on Saturday afternoon. A good number of players were present, including visitors from Hawera. The president of the club (Mr J. N. Stephenson) officially opened the links and called on Mrs Stephenson to drive the first ball. During the afternoon a handicap competition was played and was won by Mrs Wake and Mr CJ. 0. Edmonds. Afternoon tea was provided by the lady members of the club.
