The EH,ham Pipe Band spent- a most enjoyable time at Pio Pio whither tliov went under I)nun Major Bel! to fulfil engagements at the athletic sports there, and they received many expressions of approval on their fine nlaving. The band "'as also at Pio Pin last year. Advice has been received from Mr. M. B. Jones, of TTnwera. that the Xaiive Trustee will begin his half-vearly distribution of rents due to the Maoris of the district on Saturday. April 13, at Hawcra. He will be at Ratana on April 11.
