SALE OF TROTTERS.
PEDIGREES AT AUCTION. MR. J. R, CORRIGAN’S OFFERINGS. A gathering of over 150 breeders and others interested assembled at Mr J. Rl. Corrigan’s annual sale of trotting stock held at* the 1 antliam Stieet stables to-day. Fifty lots were catalogued, giving representation of leading sires, including such well-known names as Worthy Bingen, Gold Bell, Travis Ax worthy, Worthy Bond, Nelson Bingen, Brent Locanda, and Native King. The sale was, conducted by the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Society Ltd., in conjunction with Messrs Wright Stephenson, Ltd. Messrs C. A. Trotter and P. G. Rudd wielded the hammer. Bidding was slow during the early stages, but improved later in the day. Several of the lots brought into the ring were passed, including a hid of 100° guineas received for a three-year-old filly sired by Nelson Derby from Gold Girl. .
