While shooting at Waitati lie was walking ahead of another lad, whose rifle was accidentally discharged, the bullet lodging in Fuller’s ankle. ELDERLY MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. NAPIER, April 1. Grave injuries were sustained by James Currie, a bachelor, CO yearn of age, through being knocked down and run over in Heretaunga Street, blastings, shortly after six to-night by an unidentified motor car. Currie, it is believed, was riding a bicycle neat" the kerb on his correct side when a. car struck him head on. Nobody saw the accident, and the injured man himself is unable to give an account of the happening. The car disappeared into the night without stopping, leaving Currie very seriously injured and his cycle a wreck. Currie was taken to the Napier Hospital, where bis condition to-night is reported to be critical. 'BODY FOUND UNDER VIADUCT AUCKLAND, April 2. < The remains of a body which has been identified as that of J. M. Clarke. New Lynn, wore discovered under the j Avondale viaduct ihv the driver of an incoming city train early this morning. A return ticket to Newmarket was found in a pocket. It was surmised that he was walking- along the line last night. The body was shockingly mutilated by a passing train.
